Fatal Truck Accidents in California

Truck accidents are a common occurrence in Southern California. Southern California has a thriving economy. The many businesses and industries operating in the region rely on the trucking industry to deliver their goods and services. However, as the state continues to grow and the economy continues to thrive, the number of trucks that fill the roadways continues to increase, which adds to the congestion.  The more the state and roadways are congested, the greater the chances of being involved in a traffic accident.

A truck accident can be much more catastrophic than a car accident. It is easy to see that trucks are much larger in size and can impart much greater force when in a collision. When emergencies occur that require a quick response, trucks are more difficult to control and take much longer to slow down or stop. As a result, accidents with trucks happen quite frequently. When accidents happen with commercial trucks, the victims involved are at high risk of sustaining serious or fatal injuries.

Receiving the news that your family member has died in a truck accident is something no one expects to hear. After losing a loved one, the surviving family members are often left with many financial and emotional burdens. While no monetary value can replace your loved one’s life many families decide to pursue a wrongful death claim seeking compensation from the at-fault party for these damages. A wrongful death suit will help to lessen your burdens. An experienced and compassionate attorney can help to get this process started for you.
