Fatal Truck Accidents in California

Thousands of large trucks travel California’s roads each day. Trucking is a huge industry in California and helps many of California’s other industries, such as the agricultural industry, by delivering their produce throughout California and the rest of the country. Trucks can be more difficult to control than ordinary passenger vehicles. They also have larger blind spots, which makes it harder for them to notice smaller vehicles and motorcycles in their vicinity. Trucks must be especially cautious when changing lanes, making sure to always signal.

California’s roadways are also filled with many motorcycle enthusiasts, as this is a favorite mode of transportation for Californians. Over the years, there has been an increase in accidents involving trucks and motorcycles. When motorcycles and trucks are in accidents there are generally no minor accidents, and the motorcyclist often sustains severe injury or death. Motorcyclists are especially vulnerable since there are no safety features to protect them from a sudden impact.
