Rosemead, CA (November 7, 2022) – On Saturday morning, November 5, one person was killed and one injured following a crash that involved at least three vehicles and a semi-truck on Interstate 10 in Rosemead.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the accident occurred, around 11:30 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10, near Rosemead Boulevard, when a semi-truck collided with several vehicles on the freeway. Initial reports indicate that it was at least three vehicles, but could have involved more. As a result of the impact, the semi-truck rolled over and landed on its side, blocking all lanes of the freeway.
Emergency personnel was immediately called to the scene. Paramedics worked quickly to help people from their vehicles and assess people’s injuries. Two people suffered very serious injuries and were taken to the hospital for emergency medical attention. It was later reported that one person died as a result of the injuries they sustained in the accident. The person’s identity has not been released at this time pending notification of their next of kin.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are under further investigation by local authorities. The officials shut down all lanes of the Interstate for many hours as the accident was cleared and investigated.
