Tulare, CA (September 10, 2022) – On Tuesday afternoon, September 6, one person died and following a crash that occurred with a semi-truck on Avenue 384.
Officials reported that the accident occurred when a pickup truck traveling westbound was hit by a semi-truck that was traveling eastbound. The pickup truck collided with the side of the semi-truck. To avoid the pickup, the semi-truck turned abruptly and caused it to spill its load of empty pallets all over the lanes of the highway. As a result of the collision, the vehicle was forced from the roadway and overturned. The accident left a substantial amount of wreckage and debris at the scene.
Emergency personnel was immediately called to the scene. Paramedics and firefighters responded quickly and worked to help the people from their vehicles and tend to their injuries. The driver of the pickup truck sustained severe injuries and sadly died at the scene of the accident. Officials reported that the driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are under further investigation by local authorities.
