Verdugo Hills, CA (May 26, 2022) – Two men lost their lives in a fatal truck accident that took place on a roadway in Verdugo Hills on Wednesday morning, May 25.
According to California Highway Patrol officials who were called to the scene, the accident happened around 12:08 a.m. in the westbound lanes of 210 Freeway around the area of La Tuna Canyon Road. Two males were riding together in a passenger vehicle when it was suddenly struck by a semi-truck and then another passenger vehicle. The initial passenger vehicle sustained heavy damages as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The two males in the first vehicle were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. They have since been identified as 56-yar-old Jason Curnel and 57-year-old Miquel Martinez. Nobody else sustained injuries in the accident, according to police.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
