Santa Fe, CA – Christopher Prudente Killed in Fatal Truck Crash on I-5 Fwy 

Santa Fe, CA (June 22, 2022) – One person was killed in a truck accident that took place on a highway in Santa Fe on Wednesday morning, June 22. 

According to California Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened around 2 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5 Freeway around the area of Carmenita Road. Police confirmed that three vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles overturned as a result. One of the vehicles was identified as a semi-truck, which sustained damages in the collision. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was ejected from the rolled vehicle, according to authorities. The victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Police later identified the party as 30-year-old Christopher Prudente. It is not known if any other parties were injured as a result of the accident. 

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time following the crash. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal. 

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
