Long Beach, CA (September 24, 2022) – On Friday morning, September 23, an accident involving a vehicle and a semi-truck was reported on the 710 Freeway that resulted in at least one person being seriously injured.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that in the morning around 5:30 a.m. an accident occurred on the southbound 710 Freeway. The accident happened when a semi-truck collided with another vehicle. The force of the impact caused the tractor-trailer to roll and finally came to a rest on its roof.

The accident caused significant damage and blocked multiple lanes of the freeway. There were traffic delays in the area Friday morning, as lanes were blocked and traffic was diverted as clean-up efforts required extensive effort.

Multiple emergency personnel agencies were called to the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was trapped inside the cab as a result of the truck flipping over. Firefighters required the use of specialized tools to extricate the driver. The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for emergency care. Truck Accidents in California

When you travel California’s highways you will see the large presence that commercial trucks have on the roads. The trucking industry is fundamental to California’s economy and brings goods and services to California’s communities. California is also important for the rest of the country’s economy. California has many ports where goods are brought from around the world. California’s freeways serve as trucking routes to deliver these goods to the rest of the country. Truck accidents occur all over the state, but a large portion of them occur on the main trucking routes of I-5, I-10, and I-715. The freeways are essential to the trucking industry, but they are also extremely dangerous, due to the high speeds, with which drivers travel on them.

Drivers need to be especially cautious when driving around trucks. Since tractor trailers are much larger than other vehicles, they can be more difficult to manage and are often in accidents. When accidents occur, the results are often catastrophic and the risk of serious injury is very high.

After a trucking accident, a truck company’s main goal is always to avoid liability and to minimize the amount of money they have to pay due to the damage caused by one of their trucks. Many different parties can be at fault when there is a truck accident, including the driver, trucking company, manufacturer, or cargo loaders, to name a few. The multitude of different parties involved can make truck accident cases and determining liability complicated. Therefore, it is best to have an experienced truck accident attorney evaluate your case and help you through the process.
